  • CONNECTION TO WATER The design emphasises connection to water through elements like bridges ,jetties and these balconies.
  • HOUSING ISLANDS The district is designed as islands of perimeter housing blocks.They are connected by bridges.
  • LOCAL IDENTITY Architectural variation in facade and materiality of the buildings with a local touch strengthen the area’s identity.
  • ACTIVATED GROUND FLOOR Ground floors of the housing blocks facing the streets have commercial establishments.
